La Autoridad Portuaria de Santander (España) ha instalado un nuevo sistema de códigos QR para mejorar los accesos y salidas de mercancías del puerto. Los responsables del enclave cántabro consideran que la automatización de las actividades cotidianas mejorará el acceso a terminales y otros recintos portuarios, además del control del despacho aduanero.
La Autoridad Portuaria Nacional de Perú (APN), anunció la implementación de un nuevo sistema de amarre en el Puerto de Melchorita en Perú. Dicho puerto está dedicado al transporte de gas natural licuado. Las autoridades estiman que las obras permitirán aumentar la capacidad operativa del puerto, al tiempo que su funcionamiento se mantendrá a pesar de las condiciones climáticas adversas que pudieran presentarse.
