A fin de que el proyecto del Corredor Interoceánico del Istmo de Tehuantepec (CIIT) tenga como base procesos técnicos de planeación para saber su impacto a mediano y largo plazo, diferentes entidades firmaron un convenio para elaborar el Programa de Ordenamiento Territorial de la Región del Istmo de Tehuantepec.
Rafael Marín Mollinedo, director general del Corredor Interoceánico, explicó queel objetivo del programa es generar los cambios necesarios para fortalecer y diversificar la economía local para mejorar el nivel de bienestar de la población de una de las regiones más rezagadas del país.
“Desde la perspectiva de la planeación del desarrollo, uno de los ámbitos con mayor prioridad es el ordenamiento del ámbito espacial que sustentará el proceso de desarrollo de la región del Istmo de Tehuantepec. El ordenamiento territorial estará orientado a un modelo sostenible, equilibrado e inclusivo, que integre las dimensiones sociodemográficas, culturales, económicas y ambientales en las distintas escalas”.
