Según informaron las autoridades, el nuevo permiso se aplica por una sola vez para todas aquellas empresas y conductores que tenían permisos iniciales con el Instituto Nacional de Vías (INVIAS) para este tipo de cargas.
Así, la medida beneficiará a quienes les expiró el permiso inicial mientras duró la emergencia declarada por el Ministerio de Salud y Protección Social, como consecuencia de la aparición del Covid – 19.
Gracias a esto, los transportadores podrán solicitar el permiso con vigencia de hasta de seis meses para garantizar la continuidad de este servicio, dando, al mismo tiempo, un tiempo razonable para adelantar los trámites y estudios necesarios para la obtención de dichos permisos.
También es necesario aclarar que las prórrogas serán bajo las mismas especificaciones del permiso efectuado inicialmente, lo que quiere decir que no se realizarán adiciones o modificaciones de rutas, ni de equipos de transporte previamente autorizados.
